Regular Members
Scientists, students, government officers, engineers, cultural heritage practitioners, and artists committed to the research and protection of rivers and their heritage.

Honorary Member
Honorary Members
Nominated by the Board of Directors and approved by the General Assembly — individuals who have excelled in scientific work or rendered exceptional services to river management and heritage protection.

Membership Benefits

Founding members are by default considered regular members, forming the first General Assembly and proceeding with the election of the first Board of Directors.

Regular members participate in all scientific activities, vote in administrative decisions during General Assemblies, and have the right to be elected to any position within the Board of Directors.

Honorary members participate in scientific activities and General Assemblies without voting rights and are not obliged to pay an annual membership fee.

Regular members are admitted upon decision of the Board of Directors, following a relevant application.

Members are considered financially settled when they have fulfilled all financial obligations up to and including the current year’s membership fee before the regular General Assembly.

How We Are Funded
Resources of the Association
Annual membership fees, as decided by the first Board of Directors — with a free membership fee for the first two years.
Potential income from the publication of proceedings, scientific material, and the organization of conferences, symposia, and other events.
All types of donations, grants, inheritances, or bequests accepted by approval of the General Assembly, as well as extraordinary contributions from members.
IRCHA is a non-profit legal entity — profit distribution to members is strictly prohibited during operation and upon dissolution.
