International River Civilization and Heritage Association
The name of the Association of Persons is International River Civilization and Heritage Association, with the distinctive title “IRCHA”.
The Association may change its offices within the limits of its registered seat without requiring an amendment to the statutes.
The first Board of Directors will make efforts to ensure that, through the registration of members from around the world, the Association becomes an International Association.
Purpose
The purpose of the Association of Persons is non-profit and specifically includes
The closer personal and scientific connection among scientific personnel worldwide
The promotion and enhancement of academic and cultural activity concerning river-related topics
The provision of consulting services to local authorities in matters where the members have scientific knowledge and expertise
The provision of guidance and support for the academic and career development of young people in the region
Collaboration with other scientific bodies from various countries
The Association maintains autonomous scientific activity
Specific objectives

Promoting research and understanding of the role of rivers in the development of civilizations at local, regional, and global levels.

Promoting the protection and inheritance of river civilization and heritage internationally.

Promoting research and exchange on river civilization and heritage protection among the international academic communities.

Promoting dialogue between academia and social sectors in the research and protection of river civilizations. Promoting mutual understanding among different river civilizations globally.

Addressing environmental problems of rivers due to pollution.

Investigating issues arising from the operation of wastewater treatment plants near rivers to prevent pollution risks.

Exchanging information.

Electing and name the “World Important River Civilization Heritage Sites”
Board of Directors
The administration of the Association shall be exercised by a Board of Directors consisting of seven (7) members, namely: the President, the Vice-President, the General Secretary, the Treasurer, and three 3 member at-large. These members are elected by secret ballot of the General Assembly.
